THE CHOSEN

In 2019 VID ANGEL STUDIO released a brand new TV-Show entitled THE CHOSEN endeavouring to cinematically portray the life and the ministry of Christ. Their unique approach to the series has gotten alot of attention it’s a really good idea. They released the show on the Chosen app, and to watch it, all one needs to do is download the app and accept a donated gift episode that has been paid for by another viewer; you are then encouraged to donate to pay for another viewer to watch,but you don’t have to; it’s entirely up to you. You can even leave a thank you note to your benefactor.

Basically they released it completely relying on the kindness of their viewers and their confidence that once you see this, you’re going to want to do whatever you can to help other people see it too; pretty cool!

I definitely like the attitude and the approach they have taken, I just love how they acknowledge the culture and custom of the Jewish people in this film, like the importance of the Sabbath, their loathing the Roman occupation and especially the Jewish traders who collected taxes for the Romans, like Levi also known as Matthew. I love that they showed Peter’s wife and mother-in-law and Zebedee with his two sons, the portrayal of Matthew and Nicodemus and so much more… the actors portrayed their roles so perfectly. The Chosen for me, is a push to read the Bible more; basically, besides the order on which the show is arranged; which of course was indicated in the disclaimer, it’s really a good one.

This show personally encourages me to read my Bible and I highly recommend that you watch it. Before watching this film, it’s important to read the disclaimer.

I mean they did a lot of beautiful things that I would have to write so much content to cover it all.
